Recent Activity

I been playing Fire Emblem Heroes a lot so I draw this at Starbucks. Olivia X Lon'qu <3

My sis and I also do a collab with our friend and did Yona of the Dawn characters. It was a lot of fun~ I drew a sketch of Kija, lined Yona, and colored Haku.

I haven't drawn much in a long time for fun. This is actually a present for my friend at work, Paulina. I did the line art using my cintiq at my work desk (I need to get me one of those! But so expensive) and edited it more and colored it with my tablet at home. This was done in Flash.

Inspiration Finished

Finished this illustration finally. I actually completely deleted my PSD file of it after I did the initial coloring... So I had to work from a decent JPG I had saved to finish it. But my friend taught me about screen levels and overlay layers and airbrushing, which greatly helped me improve the mood of this illustration. First time I ever did glowing.

The below version is the drawing before coloring effects were added.

Bliss

This is my self portrait for my pre-thesis animation class. The instructions said you couldn't use a computer so I had to hand color. I didn't have my Copic Markers. I am not very skilled at using colored pencils.... I LOVE giraffes!!!!!!

Ripples of Sorrow

This is my final print for printmaking class. I will be taking the advance class next semester.
I etched this on a 12x9 inch copper plate. I used a mix of drypoint, hardground, and aquatint. I had scratched my plate pretty badly actually, but the aquatint covered most of the damage up. Even though I had originally drew the lines on top of hardground and etched them, they started to fade so I had to go over them with the drypoint technique. But doing so many curves was hard and I made a lot of mistakes!

Regardless, printmaking class was fun!

These are some other prints I made with my plate. They are far from perfect.

Self Portrait

It's finals time again! This time I had a self portrait to do for my drawing class. It was originally supposed to be the midterm project but it turned into the final project instead. I been working slowly on this since my spring break. This weekend I finished it! I worked for almost 12 hours on it in a day to finish it!

I had wanted my self-portrait to have an Alphonse Mucha-look to it. But I didn't follow his style too closely.

This is completely colored in colored pencils. I went through many pencils and now I need to buy a new set!
